John

Owner – Married with two adult children, and lives in Long Beach.


Opened Fromex on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore in 1982. Started as a one-hour photo shop and have grown the business to a nationally recognized photo and digital lab. Besides running the business, he maintains the equipment and  handles most of the custom framing and aluminum printing.


Co-founder in 1982 of the Independent Photo Imagers,  www.ipiphoto.com, the largest trade association of photo labs and camera stores in the United States with over 500 members. Over 42 years of photo lab experience. Graduate from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

Kelly

Lab Manager – Color and B&W printer, oversees many services including printing, film processing, film scanning & customer service.


Joined Fromex in 2012, has over 20 years experience in the photo industry. Specializes in color and B&W printing, film scanning, Photoshop, retouching, and customer service. She has been the event photographer for Cinespia for the past twelve years, and self-publishes books/zines. www.kellyleebarrett.com

Natalie

Lab Manager – Color and B&W printer, oversees all services including printing, film processing, film scanning, customer service & shipping.

Joined Fromex in 2012, has over 15 years of photo lab experience. Graduated from  Cal State University with a business degree.  Enjoys photography, traveling, sewing, and crafting.

Kevin

Digital Technology – Wide format color and B&W printing, custom scanning and video.


Joined Fromex in 1999, has over 30 years of photography and photo lab experience. Graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a BFA degree in Photography. Enjoys repairing and restoring old radios.

Brittany

Customer Service – Also handles film processing and shipping.


Brittany has a Retail Marketing degree from the University of Arizona, and experience in real estate financing. She is married and has two children. Joined Fromex in 2020.

Toni

Customer Service – Also handles film processing, printing comp cards,  shipping, and the Fromex Instagram account.

Toni joined the Fromex team in 2021. She has 3 years of experience working at Golden West college as their Darkroom Lab Technician and a BFA  degree in photography from Cal State Long Beach. She prefers film over digital and loves to take portraits of her family.

Diego

Customer Service – Also handles film processing and chemical mixing.  Diego, our newest member of the team as of 2023, is a student at CSULB in Long Beach.

Jeanine

Customer Service and Printing– Also handles film processing, printing comp cards,  color printing and film scanning. In addition to working at Fromex previously from 1987-1992, she has a BFA in Photography from CSULB and 25 years experience working in commercial, advertorial, and event photography, and in the film industry as a location representative. She is married and has two adult children.  Joined Fromex again in 2021.
